Bullshit remover
Indie consulting, value investing, and bullshit removing, all in one letter without any self rejection
Hello hello! What’s up?
This is a letter, a personal letter, from me to you. I hope to send it to you every week. If you find it boring, or want to holler at me, just reply to this.
I am going to share three interesting things I came across the past week, every week.
Let’s get into it.
Indie consulting
Great article on Indie Consulting — Consulting that’s focused on specialized expertise and long term value creation for clients.
Large scale consulting on the other hand is very different. It is generalized, and generally delivered for reducing perceived risk for the client.
The articles talks about what is value, how do you create value for clients, and how to get new clients!
Mohnish Pabrai’s investing master class
Mohnish Pabrai is a value investor, and he explains how good investments are made, what do you look for in them, and how Berkshire Hathaway operates to consistently make great investments.
Particularly, he talks about Coca Cola and how did Berkshire decide to invest in them, explaining the conditions involved in the decision, and how it made sense for them to invest in it.
Bullshit Remover
Came across this nifty little tool that removes bullshit from the text you provide it with.
I copied cookie consent text box from a company’s website and gave the input to the box:
We use cookies to give you the best possible experience. Some are essential for this site to function; others help us understand how you use the site, so we can improve it. We may also use cookies for targeting purposes. Click “Accept all cookies” to proceed as specified, “Decline optional cookies” to accept only essential cookies, or click “Manage my preferences” to choose what cookie types you will accept
And the output I got was:
We track you. Deal with it or leave.
😂😂😂
(removing bullshit from this letter is left as an exercise for the reader)
P.S. I wrote a small post on self rejection. In its spirit, I am asking you to reply to this letter with your thoughts on what did you feel about this letter using 3 minutes of your life.
