Waiting tables 2 years after graduating from IIT

Little companies, waiting tables, Drupal's solution for WordPress, and simple is not easy

Hello hello! What’s up?

This is a letter, a personal letter, from me to you. I hope to send it to you every week. If you find it boring, or want to holler at me, just reply to this.

I am going to share three interesting things I came across the past week, every week.

Let’s get into it.

  1. You're a little company, now act like one

Great article from Jason Cohen about how you need to be a better communicator to your early adopters.

Stop using the corporate speak, just be yourself, people don’t buy from a company, at least not a new product, they buy from humans they know and can trust.

  1. Waiting tables 2 years after graduating from IIT

Deepti is one of those inspiring people that just leave you awe struck.

Here she explains how she decided to be a Pizza Hut employee for about 2 months, and what did the job entail.

Fascinating read!

  1. Founder of Drupal might have a solution to solve the open source problem

Last few weeks have been bad for the WordPress community. Matt, the founder, has taken over a plugin, and disallowed anyone affiliated with WP Engine to access WordPress site.

The core issue is of a company building their business on top of WordPress and not giving back.

Founder of Drupal has a solution, that they have implemented in the wild for 10 years!

To stick to the format of this email, I had to scramble around and publish a post late last night on how simple does not mean easy. Hope it makes you think.

P.S. Hit me up if you’re looking for a team to build full stack web or mobile apps.
